Off the beaten track: Prague 2, Vinohrady and Albertov

If you have seen all the traditional tourist places (Old & New Town, the Castle with Mala Strana, Vysehrad) and you want to get to know real Prague life - explore Vinohrady and Albertov! Those are quarters in the wider centre with interesting places and genuine atmosphere. This is the right tour for your second or third trip to Prague.

Namesti Miru (Peace Square) at the green metro line where the walk starts.

It is a walking route from a nice square (Namesti Miru depicted above) to an intellectual café, toward my favourite bakery - then to campus of the Charles University at Albertov with red brick hospital and romantic streets (see the picture below), 19th century neo-historical buildings and the baroque house of Faust at the end.

It starts at the metro station Náměstí Míru (green line A) and ends at Karlovo náměstí (yellow line B). Just to walk the route could take about one hour. But surely it will take longer with photographing, drinking coffee or buying bread ;)
